Key Features
- Improves load distribution and reduces rutting
- Enhances soil stabilisation through aggregate interlock
- Can reduce required fill depths and material costs when designed in accordance with project specification
- Extends lifespan of roads and paved surfaces
- Quick and easy to install
- Cost-effective over the full project lifecycle
- Multi-directional strength for superior load distribution
- Increased stiffness and confinement performance
- Best suited for heavy loads and weak subgrades
Typical Applications
- Working platforms for tracked plant and piling rigs
- Sub-base reinforcement to highways, estate roads and yards
- Basal reinforcement over soft or compressible ground
- Embankment foundations and slope stabilisation
- Reduced-dig solutions to minimise muck-away and aggregate import
Product Information
Geogrids are extruded polymer grids designed to mechanically interlock with granular fill, creating a stiffened composite layer that distributes load far more effectively than aggregate alone. Used correctly, geogrids reduce sub-base thickness and allow construction over weak or variable ground.
Triangular apertures with multi-directional rib geometry, providing near-isotropic stiffness across 360°. Triaxial designs deliver greater confinement of aggregate and improved performance on variable sub-grades - particularly where unpredictable loadings or rotational forces are anticipated.
