Physical Tests carried out include:

• ADR Regulated Internal pressure (Hydraulic) test
• The can is fully filled and the pressure inside the can increased to 2.5 Bar and monitored for 5 minutes with no air leaks
• ADR Regulated Leak proofness test (Leak proof) test
• The Can is fully submerged in a tank of water and the pressure inside increased to 0.3 Bar and monitored for 5 minutes with no leaks
• Drop tested from a height of 1.8 meters
• Handles are also drop tested from 0.8 metres

The Explosion Proof Jerry Can has all the safety features of a classic Jerry Can with the addition of an innovative aluminium mesh inside. This incredibly fine honeycomb structure takes up just 2% of the total volume, and serves to dissipate heat within the can so that the fuel inside will not ignite explosively in the unlikely event of it being exposed to sparks or naked flames.

Suitable for the storage of petrol and diesel. Not suitable for water storage.
